Welcome to the website for South Kilworth Village

March 8th, 2018 in Notice Board by admin

On a very wet and cold January morning Stanford Hall launched their Community Supported Agriculture Scheme (CSA). A short presentation, tour of the gardens and then the official opening of the 7-acre field took place; by throwing seed bombs around the edge of the field we are going to transform to start the process.

The aim of the CSA is to give the community and local school children the opportunity to produce a wide variety of organic vegetables, under the watchful eye of Graham the professional grower. So far despite the very wet and cold weather we have built the poly tunnel, planted broad beans, peppers and aubergines, started the mulching on the field and begun work on the educational gardens including a new asparagus bed.

If you like being outdoors, have a spare few hours and would love to help in some way (gardening experience not necessary) or would just like to find out more about the scheme then please check out the website www.StanfordHallCSA.co.uk or hello@StanfordHallCSA.co.uk or give me a ring or text 07949921958
